Old Victorian School Converted Into Modern Loft In Southwest London

Dubbed the “London Loft project”, this apartment was designed by London-based practice JC Decor. It can be found in what used to be an old Victorian School. The entire place was refurbished and the transformation took 8 months. Completed in 2013, the loft now features an interesting mix of modern and classical elements. It has a beautiful architecture, featuring a variety of preserved details which give it character and personality.

 The apartment spreads over three floors and the overall distribution of the spaces is quite nice. The main living space has 200 ft high ceilings and floor made partially of glass.

 The dark wood stain on the floor and some of the furniture gives this space an elegant look. The kitchen is part of an open plan and it has marble countertops and modern appliances. I really like the fact that the kitchen is large and spacious and also connected to the living area.

 The interior architecture of the apartment was really beautiful and most of the original features were preserved. So to allow them to stand out, the interior design was kept modern and minimalistic. The designers chose a combination of vintage and modern pieces for the apartment in order to give it character and to remain faithful to its history and present state. Old office turned into an apartment by João Tiago Aguiar

This is the RF apartment. It didn’t always use to be an apartment or anything even close to that. This space used to be an office. It was transformed into an apartment by João Tiago Aguiar. It’s a 210 square meter area and it’s located on the top floor of a building in Avenida Rodrigo de Fonseca.

 Originally, this space was not suited for private living. It had very little and bad lighting and its internal structure was obviously that of an office, not of a private apartment. However, João Tiago Aguiar who worked in collaboration with Renata Vieira, Ana Caracol and Sílvia Amaral managed to turn this space into an inviting home. The old office only has small openings at the top of the walls. This was not the internal structure that architects desired for the apartment they were going to create.

 The entire interior of the office has been demolished. The structural elements were the only ones that were preserved. After that, it all began to take shape. The small cracks were turned into large windows and separate rooms were created. A deck was also created. It surrounds the apartment and it resembles a large balcony. The interior is now more airy and less compartmentalized. The décor is more colorful and inviting. The living areas are separates from the private rooms by a series of bicolor cabinets. Extremely Large Townhouse with Very Traditional Interior Design

Can you image a townhouse of 560 square meters with a private garden? This luxury living space is exactly such house that only rich people can afford. Its ground floor features a lounge area, dining room, kitchen, reception hall with a fireplace, curved oak stairwell, nearly 7-foot ceilings and door to the garden. The top floor features a large living room with another fireplace, four bedrooms, two bathroom and an exit to a terrace. The whole interior is done in traditional style so owners of such house wouldn’t even jealous of kings castles.

Zen-like Home That Looks and Feels Like a Resort

A lot of luxury homes have such memorable designs that everybody dream of live there and get inspiration for their own homes from them. This house designed by Dane Design Australia is a perfect example of such design. Located on a large site it consists of several separated pavilions focused on ten acres of deep clear water. The zen-like design is chosen in order to make the home feel and function like a resort. It has garden courts, gymnasium, spa and pool like every other resort. Public and private spaces are separated by open and closed breezeways. All pavilions are done in rich natural materials.

Cedar House With Creamy Interior Design

Brown/Saide Residence in Sagaponack, New York is designed by BNOdesign. The 6,700 square foot cedar shingled home looks very strict outside but is very airy and warm inside. One wing houses the sprawling master suite. The other wing encompasses the breakfast room and service areas, followed by the sunroom, which functions as a quasi pool house. The whole interior is done in very light creme color theme. Such color choice is very cute but has some disadvantages. Although the furniture is so carefully chosen that the house will survive any party. A lot of it is upholstered with leather while other surfaces like kitchen cabinets are made of durable materials. Owners of the house could forget about all problems inside the house and the creamy theme only helps that.
