This amazing house by Finnis Architects in Brighton East, Australia, is a modern 3-storey house with one floor excavated. The underground floor has a garage and utility spaces, while the upper floors are dedicated to the day and night areas. The day area is strategically situated on the ground floor, so that it can blend in with the outdoors spaces situated at the same level. The outdoors space is very important in the layout and it consists of focal points. One of them is the small patch of lawn, very carefully landscaped. The interior is modern and luxurious, lots of light and wide open spaces with smart accents look great.

Old Victorian School Converted Into Modern Loft In Southwest London

Dubbed the “London Loft project”, this apartment was designed by London-based practice JC Decor. It can be found in what used to be an old Victorian School. The entire place was refurbished and the transformation took 8 months. Completed in 2013, the loft now features an interesting mix of modern and classical elements. It has a beautiful architecture, featuring a variety of preserved details which give it character and personality.

The apartment spreads over three floors and the overall distribution of the spaces is quite nice. The main living space has 200 ft high ceilings and floor made partially of glass.

The dark wood stain on the floor and some of the furniture gives this space an elegant look. The kitchen is part of an open plan and it has marble countertops and modern appliances. I really like the fact that the kitchen is large and spacious and also connected to the living area.

The interior architecture of the apartment was really beautiful and most of the original features were preserved. So to allow them to stand out, the interior design was kept modern and minimalistic. The designers chose a combination of vintage and modern pieces for the apartment in order to give it character and to remain faithful to its history and present state. The mix of styles is really beautiful and there’s a very nice balance throughout the décor.-Via

Old office turned into an apartment by João Tiago Aguiar

This is the RF apartment. It didn’t always use to be an apartment or anything even close to that. This space used to be an office. It was transformed into an apartment by João Tiago Aguiar. It’s a 210 square meter area and it’s located on the top floor of a building in Avenida Rodrigo de Fonseca.

Originally, this space was not suited for private living. It had very little and bad lighting and its internal structure was obviously that of an office, not of a private apartment. However, João Tiago Aguiar who worked in collaboration with Renata Vieira, Ana Caracol and Sílvia Amaral managed to turn this space into an inviting home. The old office only has small openings at the top of the walls. This was not the internal structure that architects desired for the apartment they were going to create.

The entire interior of the office has been demolished. The structural elements were the only ones that were preserved. After that, it all began to take shape. The small cracks were turned into large windows and separate rooms were created. A deck was also created. It surrounds the apartment and it resembles a large balcony. The interior is now more airy and less compartmentalized. The décor is more colorful and inviting. The living areas are separates from the private rooms by a series of bicolor cabinets. The overall look is stylish, simple but definitely friendlier than it used to be.{found on archdaily and pics by FG+SG}.

Simple, Clean And Sophisticated Condominium Design

Beirut Residence is an luxury apartment located in Marina Towers building, Beirut, Lebanon. It is designed by Joe Serrins Studio in simple, clean and sophisticated style. There are a lot of unique things implemented in its interior design. For example, the craftsmanship on walls and ceiling is truly amazing. It perfectly harmonizes with the rest interior yet add cool, not overwhelming accents. The 5,000-square-foot condominium also features an amazing views of the city thanks to its high location. The cool thing is that even though the apartment is really luxury it doesn’t feature marble, gold and velvet that are so popular among such kind of living environments.

The interior of the apartment is done in a contrasting combination of white, beige and dark shades. Furniture and other elements of decor are done in minimalist style. The living area is separated from the kitchen with a little artificial wall that saves the space’s functionality but provides some privacy for these areas. Areas like a bedroom and a bathroom are separated more firmly to make them cozy.
